Jean Rosenthal, age 81, died peacefully at her home in Plymouth Friday, March 26, 2010. She was the devoted wife of Julian Rosenthal of Plymouth. Born in Boston, Jan. 5, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Amelia M. (Helfer) Parker. She was educated in Dedham and was a graduate of Dedham High School. For many years Mrs. Rosenthal worked as a secretary and office clerk for the Stop & Shop Company. She moved to Plymouth un 1973, previously residing in Mattapan. Jean is survived by her husband Julian, as well as her stepdaughter, Barbara Palie of Mansfield. She was the cherished grandmother of five; and great-grandmother of six. Jean was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Kelleher; her stepson, Bernard Rosenthal; and her brother, John Parker. A graveside service will take place Tuesday morning at 11:15 at the Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth. Memorial visitation will take place Tuesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth. Cremation at Vine Hills Crematory in Plymouth.
